Images of people are great for giving a sense of scale to your drawings, collages and photomontages. The images in this setion are all in JPEG format, so they are relatively small files and easy to download. Each colour image shows a person on a white background. However, you can create a "cut-out" by combining the colour image with the black-and-white mask in Photoshop. The image on the right gives you an overview of this process. See the Image Masks Tutorial to find out how this is done.
The background of the image on the right was created with Terragen software. The image of the man was added using Photoshop. The reflection was made by creating a duplicate layer, flipping it, reducing the opacity and applying the Ripple filter.
Terragen is similar to Bryce in that it can be used to create convincing looking landscapes. Terragen is a freeware program and can be used free of charge for personal use only. If you would like to try it out, you can get a copy from the download page on the Terragen web site.
