There are two main ways of inserting a symbol into text

1.     Type a code for the required symbol within the line of text, see the table below (for DTEXT and MTEXT).

2.      Use the pull down menu in the text editing window and insert the symbol. This is accessed either via the arrow button (see below) or right clicking in the Text Formatting window and select Symbol (for MTEXT).

The following table gives three types of code for the insertion of various symbols:

Please note that Code 1 will only work with the number pad keys - not the number keys above the alphabetical keys.
