Filling an object

I am creating a business card logo..and cannot figure out (remember?) how to fill an object. I have tried to use the little paintbrush to no avail. I also would like to change the background color which I didnt' have any luck doing either. I am using 2002 Educational Version (ha ha ha yeah, i'm only in my second semester here!) Help!

Probable you created some 2D shapes. You can convert them to regions or apply a solid hatch.
Backgroundcolor can be changed by going in Tools > Options... > Display > Colors... But this will affect only the appearance on the screen. Do you wish to print out the resulted logo? If so, remember that the black background will print white.
