Can i sell my Acad?

My company is looking to upgrade from acad 2007 to something more advanced like solidworks/inventor or Pro E. But since we've just purchased acad 2007 complete with a new license, can it be sold 2nd hand? Would you just sell it to an interested party who'd be looking for a new licence and leave it at that? Or would you need to alter your registration with Autodesk and have the licence reassigned to the new buyer?

I would contact your AutoCAD reseller, explain the situation and ask for advice. I'm sure they'll be able to help, particularly if you want to move to Inventor.

But as Cad64 has said, you cannot sell AutoCAD privately.

Read your EULA.

Of course, you can sell the CD to someone, but red flags are going to be raised when they attempt to register it. The S/N will point back to you and Autodesk will be all over you and the buyer. I'm not advising this of course....

It's best to read and understand the terms of the agreement (EULA) before forking over $$$

You CAN sell a copy, or transfer it, but you'll be asked by the reseller to provide proof that the original owner has gone OUT OF BUSINESS.

You may BUY lT from wherever, but transfering a liscnce is like the other software; PITA and complicated

Actually, you must get permission from Autodesk *before* making the transaction. Section 2.3 in the EULA (http://www.cae_refcentar.fsb.hr/download/eula/AutoDesk_EULA.pdf)
