View Full Version : LDD File Locks & Weirdness

We've been having trouble with some files in a project. Maybe someone here has seen the problem before, maybe there's a fix. We're getting desperate. Any advice would be appreciated.

There's a site plan in this project. We revised it and saved it as "Site Plan B." When we load that drawing, LDD gets stuck--if you try to open another drawing in that project, you get AECOPEN on the command line, and it seems like something is happening, but Site Plan B is still in the window.

That's not all. When a coworker opens a file in this project, it comes up as read-only--even though there's a lock on the file with his name. When he tries to save, he gets three messages saying that various project files are locked, and then a message saying the disk is full.

Is there some way to audit an LDD project, the way you can audit an AutoCAD drawing? Would it be possible to copy the drawing and data files to another folder and rebuild the project data? Would it make more sense to repair or reinstall LDD? It's version 2006.

We repaired LDD. Still having the same problems, and they're spreading to other projects.

Problem solved! It wasn't AutoCAD, it was a storage quota on the server. For some reason we got several tangentially related messages along with the "disk full" message. So the lesson (for me anyway) is that AutoCAD is not necessarily the problem.
