Yes. I teach autocad 2000 2D and 3D. Currently taking
students through solid modelling, just about to do
material application, lights, shadows and background
imaging.

Cheers

Yep, im into 3d solid modeling using autocad. rendering using viz & accurender. full layouts using coreldraw, photoshop & word.

after a while of 3d, 2d is just boring.

Yer right .....

I was teaching paper drawing of sections today. A wee flower pot
with a wall thickness. Rather than draw it on the projector screen as
a 2D orthographic -plan, elevation etc- I quickly drew the profile and
revolved it. I then used 3dorbit a spun it round to show the kids
the different views and where the section was by slicing away half.

i find when i have to do 2d, i struggle. its so much easier to model in 3d,then solveiw/draw them to 2d.

these days i find throwing some materials and a quick render great for
"dumb as doornails" feild crew who cant read 2d plans. least with 3d they can get an overview of what they are to acheive.

Yip, but there are some pretty complex doornails out there.
