I've added some new fonts to my windows font directory. There true type fonts. When I go in to AutoCAD to find the fonts, from the drop down in the multiline text editor they are there, but the italic version isnt!Ive gone back and checked and yes the font has been installed in my windows fonts folder.I have also added my windows fonts folder to my support path in CAD.Any ideas where it is?

Still got problems when I look at my new company logo its fine at home where I created it,but I look at it on my work PC through voloview and the default font shows up!This would mena that the support files need to be defined and the fonts added to voloview fonts file, also windows file.Done that too,but to no avail! When Im in AutoCAD not all these new stones sans fonts show up in the mtext editor.Theyre defined in the support path and installed in the font files.Any got any ideas Im a bit unsure what to do next!Maybe scream!

Try this....use the Express Tools and explode your text and just save them as curves and lines (maybe even splines). Save your file and see how it looks. I guess it is kinda like in Adobe Illustrator when you export your text to paths. You can no longer edit it as text but if you do not have the font on the other machine it will still look right. Good luck :)

Thanks I'll have a look tonight.Yeh another never ending problem is that my company have chosen to use this font which isnt installed with most Windows systems! That will mean I'll have to send the font out everytime I send a DWG to a different company/Client,so they can then map their drive, this cant be the right solution!

Yeah not a good solution but if you use eTransmit it will bind the font (or it should) into a zip file for you. But like I said exploding the text will solve that as long as they do not need to alter the text. Good luck :)
