I've recently joined a company that is still using AutoCAD 2000. They also have a manufacturing onlay to AutoCAD called Pattern Systems. One of the suites within this Onlay software requires ACAD 2000i. It doesn't seem as if I can get and upgrade to 2000i, I would have to jump to 2007, which of course is not supported by the Pattern Systems onlay software yet. Am I SOL, or is there somewhere I can get an upgrade to 2000i?

I had a similar situation recently and the dark lords decreed I could buy a full upgrade to the latest version, but just not install all the others.
i.e. you coudl pay for ACad 2007 but not install versions 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, that's if you can still find someone who can license you a copy of 2000i

fun isn't it ?

On the other hand, what does this Pattern Systems do ? perhaps you could get someone to rewrite it for you to work in your version of Acad

Thanks for the response Hendie!

I don't understand what you mean by not installing all of the other versions. If I upgrade to 2007, that's all I get, where are the other 2002-2006 versions coming from? My Pattern Systems software will eventually support 2007, so I think I would just wait that one out I guess, but I don't think I can get the cost of the upgrade to ACAD 2007 through the powers that be. So, that's why I'm trying to find the 2000i. Could the Pattern Systems be re-written? I guess it's possible, though I would think they would have had that fix back when, but thanks for the suggestion.
