Can you lock Paperspace Tabs?

Is there a way of locking Paperspace Tabs?

We have had a couple of times now where we have issued drawings electronically and people haven't looked at the drawings register and just plotted off all the Paperspace drawings Tabs, some of these tabs were not ready for issue.!

Any ideas...? :?

what i would do is send them a pdf file, unless they have to edit the drawing...

Yes i do send Pdf... im not after an alternative :D i just want to know if its possible :D

i dont think there is a way to lock a layout. maybe you can Keep everything in the model space and delete the layout. then insert the layouts when needed

What I usually do, when I need to send a partial file, is delete the tabs that I don't want them to have, create my Etransmit file and then Undo to bring back the tabs. Either that, or save out a copy and delete the tabs from that file.

I have always wanted to have the ability to color code the layout tabs like you can in Photoshop. Red tabs would be "Not a Part" or "Unfinished". I never thought about locking them out completely. It's an interesting concept, but if you lock your layout tabs so that they don't print, you will just end up getting phone calls: "There's something wrong with your drawing, some of your layouts won't print." You will be constantly having to explain yourself.:roll:

The best way to keep people from doing something they shouldn't, is to not give them the opportunity in the first place. If they can, they will. :)
