How do I create rounded corners on a 3D rectangle. I have created the rectangle and created a cylinder that runs from top to bottom. I thought I could just trim the 90 degree corner off but no luck. It looks like all I have done is drill a hole through the solid block.

Any tips would be great.

Thanx

ACAD 2K, 3d rectangle:
Use an isometric view, such as southwest.
Pick Fillet.
Pick edge of rectangle (corner)
enter radius
enter "c" for chain
pick last 3 edges.
enter.

2D rectangle, before extrusion:
use pedit if not already a polyline, and join.
Pick Fillet
choose polyline option to fillet all corners at once.

Thanks Flores,,

Worked great, appreciate it. I'm sure you can help with another question then. I'm working in Acad 2004 and I am rendering the same rectangle project with rounded corners. By default my render appears to be like a white colored object on a black background. Is it possible to give the object an aluminum finish with a different background.

I have just started a beginner CAD course and only 2D drawings, so I'm trying to learn the 3D aspect as well.

THanks Flores.
