I have a plan that we are dividing up into Zones by colour we have 17 different zones, that's why we are using colour. When I try to label the zones, the text does not show through nor do the interior walls. What gives? I tried all the Draw order options. What other suggestions do you have?

ASAP IF POSSIBLE

TIA.

Put the color hatch fills on seperate layers and then select these and use the "Draw Order" command to send them to the back.

use ET to create a box around the text. then do your solid hatching. this will seperate the hatch from the text, making it visible.

I did exactly like I described. There must be something weird going on with yours.
I checked out your company's site, very nice. I used to work for a home builder up here in NC for a while.

Good idea but the DrawOrder should do it.

THE INTERIOR WALLS ARE NOT SHOWING UP EITHER. i ANT ABOUT TO HATCH AROUND THOSE THINGS!

I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A 15 MINUTE PROJECT!!! I STARTED ON IT AT 2:00PM YESTERDAY!, GRANTED I DID DO OTHER THINGS ONCE I COULDNT FIGURE IT OUT.

ACTUALLY, THE WALLS DID SHOW THROUGH BEFORE HE WANTED THE TEXT ON TOP OF THE SOLID FILL.

ARGGGHHH!

THANKS ANYWAY GUYS!

Well I always try to have my hatches behind my lines. I think that it just looks better but that's just me.

You shouldn't have to. Freeze everything except the walls doors and windows. Freeze all text, dims, leaders, everything. When using the hatch command use the "pick point" command instead of the "select object". See if this gets inside your walls.

Well solid and gradient hatches have their places. I like them myself. I really like them since I can make them ANY color under the rainbow. I really easy way to embllish a floorplan or elevation.

Make a block out of your hatch and x-ref it to your dwg.
Make sure that it has the boundaries included and attributable. Easier to make changes this

I've generally had a more stable draworder this way.
