I've got some IGES files from a customer I need to pull some missing dimensions off of. I've searched all over the internet, and found nothing to import these files into AutoCAD with unless I want to spend 200.00 dollars. Any suggestions?

Go to www.rhino3d.com (http://www.rhino3d.com) and download the 25 save demo. IIRC it can import IGES and I know that it can export dwg/dxf with little or no problem. Good luck :)

Hm, I got all my autoCAD training from a former McNeel employee. Those people really know there stuff.

Yes they do and the next version of Rhino is supposed to be an AutoCAD killer!! We shall see but I do like their products and that should get you what you want.

Thanks for that solution. It worked perfectly. As far as I'm concerned Rhino has always been an AutoCAD killer in terms of modelling and compatibility. I like their products as well. They have great rendering tools.

Yeah, their 3D is top notch but AutoCAD kick's it's but in 2D work. I like their Penguin add-on my self.

Haha, yeah you can do some pretty cool stuff with Penguin actually. It's cheap too, but I suppose that's because it's not a photo realistic rendering software.
