i am using AutoCAD 2000i LT. (its different from my profile because i am on a different computer)

when i am on the paperspace on some drawings and double click on the viewport (which is not locked) the viewport zooms to extents. on some other drawings this doesn't happen

it is very annoying because then i have to scale again and centre the drawing

anyone knows why this happens?

Try setting UCSFOLLOW=0

This is correct. Double click inside your viewport to activate it, then set UCSFOLLOW to 0. You have to set it while the viewport is active. If you have multiple viewports in your layout, you have to set each one individually.
