Layer Order.

I can't work out how to do this. I have a ceiling grid and on a seperate layer some light fittings. The ceiling grid appears to be sitting on top of the light fittings, which masks them, how can I change the layer order, so the lights are visiable?

I don't think LAYERS work in that way, I think the display order is influenced by the order objects apear in the internal database (and is not permanently fixed). However you can select your objects and move them back & foward using the TOOLS menu.

type DR in the command line, then select the object you wish to send back or bring to front, and then type F to bring to front or B to send to back and then press enter
