I'm new working with 3D, so bear with me...

Version: ACAD 2006

I've established 4 viewports for 3D modeling, front, left, right, iso.

When I'm in front(view) and click a point, then click into left or right views, my polar tracking only enables me to track up/down, left/right (respectively).

I want to be able to move the line 360deg in every viewport, and have my polar tracking only 'track' the corresponding angles (ie 90, 180, 270, etc.)

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

your tracking will be constrained to your current UCS. which is why it "appears" to be only responding up or down
Polar tracking is restricted to 2D, not 3D

Is there any way to 'track' the 4 angles independently on each viewport?

I looking to 'snap' a line on x-y, and angle it specifically through tracking in x-z. Is there a certain USC that will enable that? I'm on 'world' if I'm not mistaken.

I found this...

...however I don't know what "DUCS" is?

Any ideas?
