Importing Digital Photos into AutoCAD 2002 LT

I have managed to import photos to a drawing by going to OLE Object, followed by Microsoft Photo Editor where I choose the required photo(jpeg file). Although this works it makes the drawing file rediculously large (About 90MB when importing 5 photos as I want to do). Is it possible to import it another way which also keeps the size of the drawing small?

have you tried using use rasterin?

I think in 2002, you can still attach and detach images from within the image manager, using Ctrl+A and Ctrl+D...somebody correct me if I'm wrong. :-)
