I am having difficulty creating a solid that has multiple archs as its upper edge. My main problem is drawing the arch that connects the left circular arch to the middle circular arch. Here is a picture of what I need to draw:

My initial thought was to create the left circle and the center circle, then somehow align a circle with a radius of 1 7/8 to the tangents of the two smaller circles (which would afterwards be trimmed as needed), then obviously mirror these lines. I was, however, unsuccesful. If any one can tell me how they would draw this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
JF

draw the side face in 2d, then extrude it to the desired thickness, then use the fillet tool to round the edges.

try.....

Draw - Circle - Tan. Tan. Radius

That should get you there... good luck ;)

No problem. In fact that was the 1st time in 15 years of using AutoCAD that I used that command
