The tutorials are great. Generally I prefer reading from paper than from a monitor screen (you can write comments in the margin, etc.). So I wanted to print a tutorial. The example or reference figures in the tutorial have black screens and so when you print you get a dripping wet sheet of paper if an example figure or two are on that particular printed page. I realize that the default background on the AutoCAD drawing area screen is black but is there a way I can reverse the background/foreground before I print?
I have a HP 3820 printer and my OS is Windows XP Professional Edition. TIA, Frank C.

I use a free image viewer called Irfanview.
http://www.irfanview.com/

In the "image" menu there is an option called "negative" that inverts the colors. After using negative, you could then use "convert to grayscale" to make the image more printer friendly.

I understand the problem of the black background when printing. Originally, the tutorials were designed to be used in a browser and more recently I have made them "print friendly" by adding page breaks etc. The black background was used because it is the AutoCAD default. I am now producing new AutoCAD 2004 tutorials (just in time for 2005 :( ) but I am using a white background for all the new images and this will help printing in the future.

For the time being, it might be worth printing the tutorials in draft mode so that less ink is used.
