View Full Version : Missing Button Icons

I have just installed AutoCAD 2007 and was just getting myself familiar with the new features, I was previously using 2004, when I changed from the AutoCAD classic workspace to the 3D workspace all the button icons disappeared, the buttons still work but you can only identify the buttons by hovering the mouse over the button and waiting for the text to appear.

I did not import any CUI files before this happened. I have tried the usual rebooting rubbish and the icons are missing in both workspaces. Also when I go to the customised toolbars dialog box all the icons are there beside their commands? Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Now i'm working with 2002 Keep this in mind.

make sure where you have your icons or *.bmp's directory in your search path.

in 2002
use pulldown
tools
options
files
support file search path

i think your icons are in the support directory.
hope it helps.

I've had this same problem with 07. What I did to fix it was to close all the toolbars, close down and restart ACAD and then use "-toolbar" in the command line to call them back up. By any chance have you been playing with the CUI settings? I didn't have this problem until I started making my own toolbars.

Thanks Chris H & CromCruithne for the help, one of my work colleague's worked it out last week; we closed down AutoCAD and made a copy of the .mnu file and deleted the original (always make a back-up just incase!) and then launched AutoCAD again. All the icons were back? Like Crom said I must have been playing around with the CUI files and currupted the file.

Cheers
