dimensions explode on their own...

whenever I put down a dimension it automatically explodes into lines and text so that I cannot edit it using the dimension editing tools or drag and relocate it. Does anyone know what might have happened to cause this?

Oh, I am using autocad 2000.

Yes, you need to change the value of DIMASO to 2 (after 2000, I think, this variable name was changed to DIMASSOC.)

That was it. I have no idea how or why that would have changed.

Is it cold up in Anchorage right now. We have had such an unseasonably warm winter here in Toronto. What do you do up there - work on the pipelines or in oil or somthing like that?

Those things tend to change when using some program or lisp (not well written) and you exit abnormally. Or someone messing with you. :)

Not really "cold" here now but has been; its about 15 degrees F. May get to 0 tonight. Did hit -15 a few weeks ago. Lots of snow this winter.

Many do work in oil-related fields here, but we do general civil design and some government civil/mechanical.
