2007 open drawing from previous saved point

i have recently upgraded to autodesk map 3d 2007 and whenever i open a drawing it comes up as a pinprick that i have to zoom in on. is there anyway to get the drawings to open from the previously saved point?:?

By default, the drawing will always open and present you with the view in which it was saved. It sounds like you have something running at startup that is causing this.
