Slow open to plot dialog in Acad 2004

Got a user here at work that is having this issue. Takes about 20+ seconds for the plot window to open. Once it is open it goes pretty fast. I have checked to see if he is missing any printers from his system and he is not. Seems like it is looking for something. Any ideas?

Did u used LAN Connection for the printer bro?sumtimes there's sumthing wrong with the connection...myb i guess...coz sumtimes it happened with me also in ma work...

Yes, we have network printers and we checked that but they all looked to be in order. I think we'll have to test each one thought just to mek sure.

On rare occasions I have a similar problem. I open the plot dialog box, no problem. When I select the main plotter, its name starts to flicker, the AutoCAD window goes to 'not responding,' and I have to pull the plug. Could be a network issue, I guess.
