Hi Guys
Happy New Year
Can anybody tell me how to delete dimension text and replace it
with your own text. EG say I have a dimension of 2100 I want to delete the dimension text 2100 and replace it with verify on site
or whatever. I want to leave the dimension line and arrows tho.
I know it must be simple but I just don't have time to go thru my
Autocad bible and find it, I am rushing to finish this job.

Thanks all

Just type ED at the command line and then select the dimension you want to change. It will open up in the Mtext editor.

Not too bad, mid 70's today, not a cloud in the sky. Nothing like winter in California. :D

FYI, if you want to revert to the default text you should type <> in the editor.

Happy CAD-ing!

As an alternative at what Cad64 said: select the text and go to the properties window. Here you can overwrite the text by entering your own string.
