2005 vs 2007 glitch

We have just discovered that AutoCad LT 2005 will not open files saved in native 2007 format. The alarm which shows is "invalid file format." The work-around is for the 2007 seat to save to 2006 format; 2005 will open that.

not sure thats a glitch - that's working as designed.

Every couple of years AutoDesk change the file format. The current format is 2007 and the previous one was 2004. Either make sure the latest seats are set up to save as the lowest setting or download the converter from the AutoDesk site.
