During the past week I've received a number of spoof emails purporting to come from CADTutor Admin. Some other members have also reported emails containing porn links coming from the CADTutor domain.

Please be aware that any unexpected emails appearing to come from CADTutor.net are likely to be spoof emails. All the ones I received had an attachment in the form of a ZIP file. If you get one of these, do not open the ZIP, just delete the message. You will never receive email attachments from CADTutor unless you have specifically requested something.

For your information, this is the body of one of the emails:

Dear Cadtutor Member,

Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to cancel your membership.

Virtually yours,
The Cadtutor Support Team

As you can see, it looks perfectly reasonable but it is a spoof and should be deleted. Do not follow the instructions given in the message.

I would like to hear from any one else who has received such emails.

I received in the past (about 3 weeks ago) an email from CADTutor Admin but the hotmail mail-server stopped it: the attachment contained a virus.
I had similar experience in the past (last year) and I reported the case in a PM.
Nothing recent, but thank you for warning us: SHIELDS UP!

OK boys and girls, we're taking incoming fire. Everyone...lock and load. Fire at will.

Thanks for the warning CADTutor.
