I want to change the value of a dimension which obviously no longer scaled. So I double click the dimension I want to change, the properties pops out with 'Gen.', 'Misc.', 'Lines & Arrows', 'Text' and 'Fit' tabs. Under Text tab below 'Measurement' which says Override, it is where you type-in the new value that you want.
My question is, if the new value has a fraction - how would you stack the fraction in a diagonal or horizontal?
I'm using version 2004.

You can use DDEDIT (standard shortcut ED) to edit dimension text. Although most people will tell you that replacing the default number with another number is a big no-no...

I am one of the "most people" you mentioned.

don't change the default value. For your own benefit!
Why should pe the number be changed?
-If you wish an other format: explore the dimension styles, including the alternate units.
-For scaled drawings: draw and dimension at full scale and plot from paper space. Make the drawing to fit on any papersize your plotter can work with.
-breaken views: put dimensions in paperspace while DIMASSOC is set to 2. Or put the dimensions in model space and place the ends of the object to show in separate viewports. Move them as close as you wish and make the dimension text to appear in one of them.
