I am in desperate need of the original ACAD.CUI file. Does anyone have the original file that you can email/upload/post anything?

I have autocad 2007 and the toolbars are totally fubar'd now.

Why don't you just re-install the program or run a repair?

I am in the midst of a project and it would take me a while to get a hold of the CD I would have to put my project on hold. Basically don't have the time to hunt it down. Doesn't autocad offer a 2007 acad.cui file for download, for stupid users like me who ruin the original lol?

Nevermind I got it found some files i didn't destroy and was able to reconstruct the stuff necessary for right now. I will try and get the file off the CD when I have a chance.

You don't need to get it off the CD.

There is a virgin copy of this file in
\Program Files\[product]\UserDataCache\Support

Regardless, you could use Windows Find to search the CD.

Thank you! I was able to find it on the CD tricky AutoDESK hiding it on CD2! Thanks for your help! (FYI re-install and repair do not revert the CUI file unless you full uninstall)

How did you determine this? That is the whole purpose of repair - to identify "non-OOTB" files and copy them from the install media back to the install location.

I attempted it and it didn't work. Tried both options and still had to drop in the OOTB file from CD2.

Where is your CUI file located?

In the app data files on your local, or you can search CD 2 for the originals.
