Hi, does anyone know how i can place a link to an external file on an autodesk .dwg. What i want to do is take some photos that i have of some paintings i have in my house. I then want to add links to them on a plan of the house. So that when i click on a point the photos open. It would also be a great benefit if these could be password protected. I am currently using ADT 2004. Following on from this i would like to be able to send this as a dwf and still be able to open the link.
Help please

Ok, I used to do this with r14 and it worked back then. I would make CAD files with clickable links and use the dwf files as presentations at my last job. It worked really well.
Ok, the button does not seem to be in ADT4 so type this at the command line.... "_hyperlink" and then it will ask you to select object(s) - do so. Then you will get this window...

After linking to your image you need to plot to a .dwf file. You should be able to open the .dwf file with IE and then be able to Ctrl-Click on the link to open the image. It worked for me. Good luck :)
