View file extentions help

I just got a new computer with Windows XP on it and Installed AutoCAD 2000, and when I go to open it shows the files as Icons, and I want them shown as lists. I right click in the white area and view them in list which works fine, but after I open the drawing and go to open another one, they are back to Icons. How do I keep it so that everytime I want to open a drawing, the file comes up in list form? Any help? Please please?

Your out of luck, this can't be done with ACAD 2K and WinXP. I am using 2000i with WinXP and have the same gripe.

Thanks, is this just cause of the WinXP? I used to have windows 2000 and it worked fine. Thanks for your help.
