I am currently designing an automobile on autocad 2002. During the creation of the front side fenders i found that it is not possible to subtract from a meshed surface. I wanted to subtract a desired shape for the wheel wells out of the fenders, when i found out autocad was unable to subtract from meshed surfaces I tried to draw the fenders with the desired shape of the wheel wells as a coons surface patch and then mesh the entire object, but i have not been able you form the desired shape. If anybody has any tips or useful information related to this topic please email me at Alleykat3030@aol.com subject: editing 3d meshes or post a reply on this site. thanks Bucky

You might do a Google for lisp routines that either turn mesh to solid, or solid to mesh. I have tried a routine that turned a mesh to a solid, but it didn't work successfully. Someone else here might be able to direct you to a good one.
