Hey guys - first time posting here.

My shop is planning on getting a new CNC/CAM program to help us design and then program cabinets. I've in the past used Cabnetware and Cimtec (think the spelling on that last one is wrong), and my current place uses a progam called Kreate which is a sort-of powerful (but cumbersome) program, however it will not run under AutoCAD2004.

Anyways, because of the incompatibility with AutoCAD2004, we might also be in the market for a new CAD program. SOO, that leads me to my question:

Have you ever used any GOOD cabinetry CAD/CAM applications? They don't have to be AutoCAD based. I actually would MUCH prefer if they used a higher-end CAD program (like Inventor or SolidWorks). Or if they were stand-alone like Cabnetware.

I use cabnetware all day, every day and intergrate it with autocad for shop drawings. Its a real painfull program (i am used to autocad) but the options it provides when it comes to the CAM side of things are great.
It takes a lot of time to set up initially.

Another program i would check out is PythaCAD and also check out Deco Gold ( may have had a name change.

Goodluck either way.
