Does anyone know where I look to find universally used symbols for things like trenches (for water and sewage) and phone lines on site plans? Also a septic tank

Some symbols may not be as "universal" as you think. Commonly used linetypes for such utilities as water, sanitary sewer, storm drains, gas, u.g. electrical, and telephone may differ by state, county or even city. Septic tank "symbols" can be nothing more than a dashed box approximating the size of the subsurface structure. Where do you live/work?
