Hi! I just started using autocad (release 2004) and have a few questions, hope someone could help:

is it possible to "link" 2d objects together ? i located the union button, in the "Solid edition" menu, but of course, its only workin with solids..

I have a second pb: I m unable to change the value of "SURFTAB1=6 SURFTAB2=6" and also "ISOLINES=4"

and the last question: how can we use a spline to generate a solid by revolution (of that spline) ?? I m only able to do that with polylines..

thanks a lot for your help !!

Hello KaKtus!
What objects do you wish to "union"? Try to enter GROUP at the command prompt.
Enter SURFTAB1 at the command prompt and you will be prompted for the new value.
It is possible to revolve CLOSED splines, if the axis of revolution not intersects that closed shape.

Search in the help file for PEDIT. If it is not what you need, post again with a concrete problem.

Explore and tweak the Settings in the command OPTIONS

Any line/spline that does NOT cross itself can be revolved
into a SURFACE using REVSURF.

A profile then axis similar to the REVSOLID command.
