Hi guys&girlz.

For my thesis project I would like to use some CAD dwg's in my report written with MS word. What is the most convenient way to export dwg's in a way that they are printed nicely in a Word document? Is it possible to retain the hatches and the linewidth? What about the scale?

Any help will be most appreciated!

Thanx in advance

Richard.

The first thing you should try: set the background color to white, enable the line weight and make screen captures.
A better way: set up a raster plotter and plot to file in BMP format. You will have more control ower the line weight, hidden lines.
About the scale: after the insertion in the document, I am allmost sure that you will need to rescale "by eye".

I export using WMF type EXPORT then look for *.wmf (windows metafile which is a VECTOR file type)

It retains everything, and is good for word and Corel.

Thanx dude!

So far I've exported as an EPS, then imported it in Photoshop to convert it into a JPEG. This works and it retains everything, but it's no longer a graphics image...

I'll try your tip!

Merci beaucoup!
