AutoCad Presentation

Here is whats is going on. I work for a large Corporation that has a take you child to work day and I was asked to give a presentation on AutoCad and how it work, and what it can do. The presentation has to be 45 min. long roughtly and it is going to be for children between the ages of 10-17. Have any of you ever gave a presentation on Cad before.

you can do the presentation by creating the scripts..

I teach AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor Modelling/Rendering, CorelDRAW and CorelPHOTOPAINT, DTP and electronics,woodwork, metalwork etc. I teach 12-18yr olds at a scottish high school.

I suggest you just get them to 'shadow' you for half an hr working on your 'typical' projects. Print off a floorplan orsomething and let them try out a simple project (floorplan) for themselves.

45 min seems like a long time unless those kids chose to go to your company :eek:

Anyway, tell them that it sucks and they shouldn't do it....(job security for us :) )

I would avoid a presentation where they sit and watch/listen for 45mins. It is too long for that age to sit and concentrate.They will be bored after ten mins.

I have to agree that 45 min is to long but I was told I would have the kids for 45min. So we might do some kind of tour. :wink:
