I worked for General Motors Holden for some years. GM's international standard is Unigraphics, if I recall. I wanted them to get AutoCAD so we could "talk" to our contractors - talk about a fight!

i could not find it anywhere online what about TurboCAD Deluxe v12. cause that seams the be good to me. what do you think? and what other ones do you think are good. that would seem so awesome to work there.

well it depends on exactly what you're trying to accomplish here. i assume you want to do complex 3D models of body design, finalized with graphics/paint jobs and everything. maybe for a hobby or customers, i don't know, but i do know it's definitely not as easily accomplished as people might think.

there's not a program that i know of in which you can buy, and it's specifically designed for "vehicle body work with ease". yes, most all CAD programs are capable of what you're wanting to do, but it's EXTREMELY difficult to accomplish what i think you're after. let me know exactly what you're trying to do, in fact give some examples of what you're wanting to do and we can further help you find the right program (if it exists). :)

College...lots of college...in design, graphic design, automotive design, design concepts, blah blah blah. I think the actual operation and learning of the program is going to be your last worry when it comes to the automotive design industry. Most guys probably know more about what kinds of colors go together and the way cars work than they do about creating 3D objects.
