ooops what have I done?

so five minutes ago i could do this:

click on an item in cad (say a circle), press e for erase then enter and it would erase. Now all of a sudden if I highlight an item and press e i get the little box and the command line says select objects. Also the right click on my mouse used to have properties at the bottom and now it doesn't. and weirdly a while back I clicked on the OSNAP tab and the drafting settings window popped up and all my OSNAPs were unselected.

Have I inadvertently reset all my defaults or something? Has anyone seen this or happen to know what I might have pressed by accident?

Myself I experimented symilar things. AutoCAD is a complex program and from time to time it works unexpectedly -we must live with this.
Set PICKFIRST to 1 and you will be able to meke a selection befrore a command starts, adjust the OSNAP as you need it and continue your work.
