I have a polyline object that im trying to use as an MVIEW but when i start the MVIEW command, select object as my type, and then select the object it seems to work. the problem is that it wont let me change the scale within the propoerties. how can i change the scale to what i need?

can't use the Properties box to scale an object-selected MVIEW viewport, you have to use the Viewports toolbar. open the Toolbar, double click inside the viewport, then set your scale. remember to go back to PS immediately or you'll get it out of scale, i do that a lot... haha :)

You can't use the property window because two objects are overlaping: the polyline and the viewport. Click the boundary and both the mentioned objects are selected. Go to the top of the property window where it says that 2 objects are selected. If you click it, a drop-down menu will let you to select the polyline or the viewport. Select the viewport and adjust the scale as usually.

Argh I just ran into this problem yesterday! I did the same thing that Styk suggested. I did notice that the pline I drew up was different than the actual VP line. I deleted the pline but then tried to change the properties on the vp line but it didn't seem to work. I'll have to go in and check out the drop down in the properties box again.
