This sounds like a stupid question, so let me explain.
I know the beginnerstuff on how to use the commands in Autocad 2002.
Now I want to draw a toolbox, but I don't know what's the best way to draw it. I want to use the drawing so that a buddy of mine, can cut the piecies with a computer router.
The toolbox will be build out of multiplex wood. Should I draw the different piecies with the 3dpoly command and then extrude the pieces to give it the
right thickness? Should I draw all lines with 3dpoly? Or should I use the
3D commands?

Find a web pic of what it will look like and then we can help better.

I don't have a webpic. Sorry but my problem is hard te describe. Maybe I can ask it in other words.
When you want to draw a toolbox in Autocad, how would you draw it?
Would you draw 3dpolylines of all the pieces of the toolbox and then extrude those 3dpolylines to give it the right thickness? I think this is the right way to draw a toolbox but I have another more concrete problem:
When you have drawn a 3dpolyline in the shape of a rectangle and you
have closed the 3dpolyline. How do you modify the shape of the rectangle
after you have closed the 3dpolyline?
It's easy when you have an EXTRUDED 3dpolyline, because you can draw another extruded 3dpolyline and use the UNION command to combine these 2 extruded polylines. Is there a command which can do the
same to 2 ordinary 3dpolylines which aren't extruded?
I hope I made my problems clear. I know that my English can be a bit confusing.[/img]

You should have a look at the REGION command. You can use this to transform any closed object into a region. You can then use Union, Subtract and Intersect on multiple regions to create your compound profile. This profile can then be extruded to give the solid form you need.

The REGION-Command, that's the key! Thank you for your help.
I hope you don't mind helping me out with another question.
When you have an extruded object with a depth of, let's say 1 cm.
Is there a quick way to change the depth to 3 cm?
What I do now to change the depth, is exploding the extruded object,
remove unnessecery lines and then extrude it again with a depth of 3 cm,
but this is a bit time taking. Is there a quicker way?

On the "Solids Editing Toolbar", choose the "Extrude Faces" button. Enter a positve number to make it longer, or a negative number to make it shorter.
