autodesk product stream

Ok my company is really looking for a good way to link out external database to autocad so that part description changes that are done in our database or automatic in out drawings. Anywas we had a salesman come by and sugest autodesk product stream and autodesk vault. I am asking do any of you all use these products and if so how well do they work for you. Please go in to depth if you can becouse I am really wanting to know if this is for us.
