Looked up your printer and it will phsyically print A2,so I reckon what you need to do is set up a viewport in paper space, together with a relevant page set up.You'll find paper space by clicking on the tab called Layout 1,for setting up a viewport have a look at Mr T's website http://www.autocadzone.com/.You will then have to enter your page set up and select the correct plot device(Canon BJC 5500) and paper size.I've deleted exactly the same post by you from the chat section,as it can be annoying to answer a question to find its been asked & answered again.

Presuming your in Acad 2000 or later it's a bit easier.
Type PLOT then look for the bubblejet device.
Set the size to a2. Then click window and scale to fit.
That's without a viewport or layout.
If that works on A2 then start thru a layout.
Inventor is easier.
