Autodesk will release an update for AutoCAD 2007 and AutoCAD LT 2007 in the next few months that will add support for Windows Vista 32-bit versions. AutoCAD 2008 is compatable with the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista.

or take a look at this for more info

I have installed r2004 on Vista and it worked just fine. I will install r2007 in a few weeks.

f700es,
What steps did you take to ensure compatibility with Vista and 2004? I have heard about running Autocad as Administrator, but was there anything else needed to do? Also, I have heard about some people having troubles with the help menu on Vista. Any such problems for you?

Thanks for any assistance you can be. I have heard alot of speculation and rumors about Vista and older versions of Autocad (2006 and below), but very few hard facts.

Raff, as far as I know I was in as an Admin. My boss already had it booted up when I installed it and I didn't even need to reboot afterwards. I did get those damn stupid security pop-ups but no more than a few clicks for the 2 that came up. Other than that it was pretty smooth. As I said I should get to do r2007 in a few weeks and I'll see what happens then.
