This is not possible in SkethcUp. The only light source in SketchUp is the sun. If you want to get the results you are talking about you need to look at an external rendering program or touchup in Photoshop.
Take a look at Podium. http://www.suplugins.com/
There are many free rendering programs out there however they are limited and some are difficult to learn. Then there are the high end programs as well.
Good luck.

Hey I just found this yesterday:
http://www.subdo.com/Default.aspx?cont=17
When you bring in your SU model all your textrues are there. You can place interior lights and make animations...
Just started playing with it.
Just make sure you install with English, not French like I accidently did. That is unless you want French.

I can recommend kerkythea & indigo, which are both free.

http://www2.indigorenderer.com/joomla/ (http://www2.indigorenderer.com/joomla/)
Both use Ruby scripts to export the models to an xml file with image materials. Lights can be attached in the SkUP model. I find Kerkythea the most user friendly, but both can give fantastic results.

Don't forget the SU2POV plugin. It uses the free POVray rendering engine to render SU files
