Yedan is correct.

- Enter the VIEW command. Note the View Manager dialog box.

- Click the New button. Note the New View dialog box.

- Enter a name for the view, such as "my background."

- Click Override Default Background. Note the Background dialog box.

- To set the color click on the red-colored rectangle under the word Color in the Background dialog box.

- Once you've selected your color click Set Current, then click Apply. Finally, click OK to exit the View Manager dialog box.

Backgrounds can be a solid color, a gradient color or even a raster image (JPEG, TIFF, Targa, GIF, PCX, bitmap or PNG file format). The image can be sized to fit the viewport.
