Cant find the file....... Auitocad 2008

Hi,

Just loaded Autocad 2008 and when I double click in explorer I get the error "Cant find the file ...or one of its components". Have searched the autodesk support site and checked the exlorer file type settings (although these are for acad 2002!!!!).

Any one got any ideas.

is it an LT version?

What file were you looking for? Is AutoCAD loaded locally or on a network?

yes, it is Autocad 2008LT.

Autocad is loaded on my local machine. It does not matter what file i double click on in explorer (or what drive c: or network) I get the error.

NOTE TO ADMINISTRATOR... Autocad 2008 is not in the pull down list of autocad versions under profile.

please could someone confirm the file type settings:

use dde: ticked
dde message: [open("%1")]
application: AutoCAD LT.DDE

what version is the file AcLauncher.exe

?

in the registry its says .17

i have worked round this by temporarily disabling the dde but can only open one drawing initially else you get numerous seperate autocad windows.
