i am currently working on a set of drawings that are about a year old. there have been changes made and i am currently printing this job.

suddenly i've discovered some of the text has changed. i am the only one who accessess these drawings so it couldn't have been human error and i have never had a problem with these dwg's in the past.

it seems, after investigating, that the font i picked isn't being displayed but only in a certain few dwg's, not all of them.

here is what i did.

i opened the "text style" dialogue box. the font i choose isn't displayed in the preview option. the dwg's that did print correctly i have no problem previewing the font i choose. (of couse, i'm assuming this is the problem because it is the only setting i've noticed which is different from the dwg's that printed correctly.)

can anyone please give me an idea how to correct this problem? i am completely lost on how to fix this. any help will be appreciated.

thank you for your time.

It sounds to me like a font has been chosen that isn't installed on the machine you are printing from. Goto the style box and all styles should have an associated font. Check this for every style in both printing and non printing drawings, noting style AND font names. I can't remember how 2002 handled non-available styles. If you have declared an alternate font, 2006 will substitute this is the selected font isn't available.

Dave,

Thanks for the help. you guided me in the right direction. the problem, i figure, was that the program didn't install correctly and left out some fonts.

re-installing the program fixed my glitch.

i appreciate your help.
