hello,

i am having trouble with autocad 2002- i have a 20 scale drawing in
paperspace , and the plot setup tab is for a sheet 11" x 17". However, when I measure the dimension of the sheet in paper space using the distance command, the dimensions of the sheet measure 35' 8-5/8" x 23' 1/4". Any ideas on why this is happening?

the drawing units are set to architectural, and the 'printable area' is set to inches.

Thank You,
Laurel

Sounds like your title block has been scaled up? Is the scale of your viewport what you would expect?

Hi Kate,

I think I figured it out - you gave me the idea to check the plot setup and the drawing was previously set to be scaled at "custom" (which it had as 1 inch= 25.4 drawing units, hence the 11" x 17" paper measuring out at 35' 8-5/8" x 23' 1/4"). once i reset the plot setup scale to 1 inch = 1 drawing unit, everything plots and measures correctly.

Thanks for your help and ideas!

Cheers,
Laurel
