I just started using Autocad 2000 on a new Dell Computer (with Windows Vista OS) and a 20" wide screen monitor.
Everything works great so far except circles are showing as elipses on the screen.
Is there a fix for this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Make sure you're using the monitor's native resolution. My 20" widescreen requires an 8:5 aspect ratio (1680:1050).

Since the new monitor is a widescreen, make sure that you have set for a widescreen layout... if you play with the screen resolutions on the settings tab of the display properties menu, you should hopefully be able to find a seting that suits that wide format (a wider rectangular shape, rather than the thinner rectangular...)
Hopefully, this makes sense...

You could tell us how you did it. Might save someone else with the same problem in the future.

Kate M. mentioned that her 20" widescreen requires an 8:5 aspect ratio (1680:1050). So I went to the control panel settings and changed the monitor settings to as close as possible to the 1680:1050 ratio. It took a couple tries and it worked out great.
