I am currently using ADT2004 and at the moment i am embarking on a new project that requires placing pictures of priceless paintings within a plan of a national heritage building. Obviously some of these pictures are not for everyones eyes and need to be protected. Recently i was shown on this forum how to add hyperlinks and password protect whole drawings, is there a way that I can protect individual hyperlinks within a plan. leaving me free to view some but protecting others. If you could tell me the level of security aswell that would be great.

Cheers!

Well, Vinny, for sure AutoCAD wasn't designed for this kind of work.
Just my guess: place the building elements in a drawing and the images in an other one. But pay attention to they place: when you XREF the drawing with images in the first one, you have the complete project. Send the first file to eweryone. Protect the second drawing with a password, or put it in a password-protected zip file. Or better, send it just to people who need it.
The user must XREF one file in the other, but probable anybody can do this.
I didn't try it!
