PDA - use for surveys?

im looking into getting a PDA to draw surveys up on, nothing real big just for use for extensions etc

has anyone done this, or know of any PDA software that will allow you to sketch and save.

If you're actually going into surveying, I would highly suggest looking into the software/hardware packages that let you survey with a GPS and then upload into the software that will draw out the GPS info. It's a little pricey to start up, but think of the efficiency. Certainly beats a transit and a field book.

What about a Tablet PC with AutoCAD and USB gps puck/mouse ?
